In the country where I now live, Santa is said to "not exist". He's just somebody that parents invented to bring some joy and illusion into the pitiful lives of young children. But we've got The Three Kings, or The Three Wise Men. I wrote a letter to them asking for six soundtracks. The stingy old buggers only brought me three, but they were bang on time, early hours of January 6th, just as seen in Ben-Hur.
Anyway, I'm still filling the holes in my FSM collection. I pity you poor sods who have everything, and are continually asking "When will we see a release of My Little Pony Part 12"? Go and listen to your old stuff again.
TWILIGHT ZONE THE MOVIE (Jerry Goldsmith) - I had the LP. This is my first upgrade. I remember it as being great, but I've since gone off some of the synth sounds, especially prevalent in "It's a Good Life". But thanks, Three Kings.
ALL FALL DOWN/ THE OUTRAGE (Alex North) - I actually had this, but it got damaged due to my drunken clumsiness, and so I demanded that the Three Wise Men re-bring me it. And they did. Having said that, it's a bit "light" for my liking. I prefer THE OUTRAGE over ALL FALL DOWN. Thanks again, Kings.
I'LL CRY TOMORROW (Alex North) - I asked the Wise Guys for this purely because Jim Phelps commented that it was good. Phelpsy - this will be your fault if I don't like it. I see that "When the Red Red Robin Goes Bob Bob Bobbin' Along" is on it. I always hated that song. The rest had better be good. Anyway, I'm sounding churlish when I'm actually full of good will and Christmas cheer. Thanks Wise Guys! Come again!
But onto more important matters - when oh when will we see a release of all Gil Melle's TV scores? That's what I personally demand for me. So come on record labels - you can't expect us to listen to last year's releases forever.
