The production work is really amazing. I have some issues with story and dialog but the voice work , costumes, and visuals are spot on.

Aside from some clunky dialogue (but really, the first three original films had clunky dialogue, so can we really fault this?) and the score (it tried, but it just wasn't enough), this was excellent. Blow away the films since, oh, pretty much The Phantom Menace.

By the way, with a budget like that, I'd have hired (a quick list):

  • Goprdy Haab
  • John Scott
  • Conrad Pope

    I enjoyed that.

He sounds like the Rogue One Vader. Not the Original Trilogy Vader. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I thought he sounded like Vader from The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, and Rogue One, not so much the processed Vader from the first movie.

Wait, I found something to complain about:

The next part apparently isn't even filming yet and there is no time table for it!

    I was afraid of that.

Holy Crap that was excellent. My only gripe was the Emperor didn't look much like the original. But a minor quibble that actually endears this to me more. Little flaws like that seem to give this a ring of authenticity. Truly excellent.

Oh, is there any way to get hold of the music?

It's the little things that resonate with me.
Listen to the way Vader says Padme's name at 5:17.
It's fairly dripping with gentleness, just as it would be said in a moment like that.
For the voice actor to be able to convey that without the benefit of facial expressions is really something.

I'd only be interested in this if they show how Darth combs his hair in the morning - he has the ultimate helmet head. And how does he get hair cuts? I'm sure fans have already addressed how he eats and defecates, but the hair....we need to know!

That's okay the Emperor doesn't look or sound the same between Empire and Jedi.

Why, does the Emperor have hair in the earlier version? Did he do a comb-over before he went bald?

If they can give Luke a bionic hand, they could graft some pubic hair to Darth's head. mad
And before you say that was burned off too, I didn't say his OWN pubic hair.

More importantly will the mystery of who voiced Johnny Smoke ever be resolved? Was it Darth Earl Jones?

I've never been much for fan fiction, but this was surprisingly decent -- enough that I watched to the end. It was also a darn sight better than The Last Jedi (then again, The Ewok Adventure was better than The Last Jedi).
