VARESE just dropped this on their website https://www.varesesarabande.com/products/other-side-of-the-mountain-part-2 Our next limited edition release is the debut CD release of the soundtrack for The Other Side Of The Mountain Part 2, by multiple award winning composer Lee Holdridge. The film was the sequel to the successful 1975 box office hit, The Other Side Of The Mountain. The score features a beautiful love theme, which is heard in variations throughout the album, as well as in two songs sung by Merrily Webber (arranged by the composer). The album was transferred from analog tape from the composer’s archive. Fans have requested this score for years. Limited edition of 1,500 copies

This is a great score that has long deserved a CD release - just a big, beautiful, emotional, thematic score for a '70s romantic drama. I love Holdridge. Well...it's Lee Holdridge! Whatdya expect!

Boy, I hope this means that Charles Fox's score for the first part is not far behind. It was such a favorite in my early years of collecting - the soundtrack for many an hour of teenage angst. Weirdly, even though I read the book, I never saw part 2 so don't know this score. But I love Holdridge....

Boy, I hope this means that Charles Fox's score for the first part is not far behind..... I wouldn't count on it. James I dunno James, just weeks after getting the terrific and unforeseen releases of Williams' Dracula and Grusin's Murder by Death, I'm going to just keep hoping....and in the meantime, enjoying this one.
