Normally I get it through work, but I wasn't available when the nurse gave the shots, so I went to CVS instead. My husband is required to get a flu shot for his work or he must wear a mask the entire time he is on site or he can be fired. He works at a medical facility, so he gets a flu shot. Some of his co-workers refuse to get the flu shot and wear the mask. Yes there was a time when surgeons thought that was a ridiculous thing to do! I haven't caught the flu yet but ran a fever last weekend and had a terrible sinus infection for ten days. I don’t do too well if I get sick:-(    Posted:   Jan 14, 2019 - 4:50 AM     By:   mastadge   (Member) I get it every year, the sole exception being 2017, because earlier that year I'd had a strange reaction after another vaccination and wasn't sure if it was caused by the vaccine and if so, what component of the vaccine caused it. I get it as soon as I can too! I think I got it in September or October of last year. I always get the flu shot now.
