I used to use "Down Them All" in Firefox. Now with the new version of Firefox, it doesn't work. Does anyone use any "bulk media downloader", for WE, Chrome or Firefox? I want one that does MULTIPLE files, not just one at a time. I've tried a few and the interfaces are irritatingly opaque!

But a fast internet search brought up "Bulk Media Downloader" add-on for FireFox. That was the main one that made me dream up the phrase "irritatingly opaque."

Its a bit tricky to use and yes unnecessarily complicated, but it works! So I've opened an RSS Feed page with lots of mp3 files: http://arewealone.libsyn.com/rss I've installed BMD on Firefox. I've click on the BMD logo and clicked on the "audio" box and ....... it's not giving me anything that says.... Oh, wait. It took a while, and not nearly as fast as DTA, but it DID start giving me links to the mp3's. Only 20, though, even though there are tons more. Have you tried downloading a page with lots of files, like this, Solly?

I've been using Chrono Download Manager for a while. Works just fine on Chrome. I'm unfamiliar with Chrome, Sirus, but I decided to try it anyway. I tried this: I installed CDM, changing the setting for URL's and naming files as recommended. I opened the page I told Solly.... and got..... code. Okay. I tried a different page: https://www.npr.org/podcasts/659942207/keeping-score Nothing in the dropdown box. Opened the manager.... And .... then what? (I'm sorry for the impatience. I'm doing this at a computer I can use for 1 hour at a time.)

The second link goes to a page that says podcast directory. There are six audio files on that page. Not 20 or more. But to answer your question. I go to a URL with media on it. Then click on the BMD logo. The drop box appears. You then have to refresh the page you want to DL from. After that I find I have to start the media, be it audio or video. It will then appear in your drop box. I then hit download (browser) button. You can hit the pause button on the media you started once BMD recognized it. (which is instantly when you hit play) As far as limits on how much you can download at once, I don't know. Maybe there's a limit set in preferences for the add-on. Anyway it works every time for me when I follow those instructions.

Well, Solly, me having to hit play for BDM to recognize the file makes it not-so-worthwhile, when there's a hundred on the page I want to download. All of which comes to naught since I find I don't want to download all of the shows anymore, just a few at a time, now. Maybe I'll revisit this if I do come upon one. Thanks for taking the time to try out the links, and provide the details.
