That's Bernstein, alright. But who's on tap for the sequel?

I hope they keep it "in the family" so to speak and have Peter Bernstein score it, and use Elmer's orchestrators from the first film.

Maybe they can get John Scott to score it, as he also scored a movie in 1984.

The Marshall Repetition.

Unfortunately, I lost interest in further Ghostbusters movies when Harold Ramis passed.

I've lost interest way before Ramis passed. The 90s was the best time to capitalize on a third movie, imo. And now to continue after the franchise has been tainted by the 2016 she-boot. Too little, too late. In my personal opinion Sony, both Reitmans, Aykroyd, and whoever else is pushing this need to let the Ghostbusters franchise RIP, but I know that won't happen.

THIS. Peter Bernstein is a great composer who deserves more opportunities. With the film being directed by the son of the original director, IMO it'd be great if it could be scored by the son of the original composer. I'm not one for nepotism but this is a case where Peter Bernstein is accomplished, worked with his father on multiple occasions, and could fit with his style.

I thought Theodore Shapiro wrote an excellent score for the 2016 movie, but they may not want him back because the movie itself didn't do so hot and wasn't well received.

Rolfe Kent has worked with Jason Reitman (and Ivan?) on a several projects... seems like he'd be a good fit if they want him.

Rolfe Kent doesn't work enough, and his off-kilter sense of comedy (and melody) would be great.

I have no horse in the race - and I didn't see the reboot from two years ago - but I'm still amazed they don't understand that the reason people love the original (and tolerate the sequel) is because of the main cast members and how they interact, not because people want to see a scifi-ghost-comedy genre mash-up.

Since my 2015 campaign to direct the reboot failed and I never even got the chance to pitch for this film, I SHOULD SCORE IT

I know, it is indeed amazing.

I actually think John Scott has got MORE of a chance of scoring this than Peter Bernstein.

But I think it's a job for Balfe.

Peter Bernstein would get my vote, especially if Reitman and the studio want the new score to be a stylistic/thematic continuation of Elmer Bernstein's score.

I think if Reitman shows the suits Peter Bernstein's IMDB page they won't be able to deny this prolific big name composer the chance with their big mega bucks tent pole comedy horror spooktacular!

Anybody here on twitter? Is Jason Reitman on twitter?

Send a few tweets re. Bernstein for composer! It would be so apt a choice! This has to happen!
