Oh no, what terrible news! I had no idea he was ill.

Nick Redman has been a stalwart name in soundtracks for years, although I hadn't heard anything from him in a while. I wondered what he was up to.

Bummer.
I recently listened to his commentary for THE WESTERNER.
An erudite and knowledgeable scholar and record producer.

RIP NR
Bruce

Oh no! He's done so much for the film music world...it will be so much poorer without him. And I was hoping to have him and Julie Kirgo on as guests when The Goldsmith Odyssey gets to The Ballad of Cable Hogue...always admired his championing of Peckinpah's western films. I fear to learn what this will mean for Fox soundtrack titles and the Twilight Time Blu-ray series.

RIP Nick, and thanks for all you did. My condolences to his wife Julie Kirgo.

Wow, this very sad and very surprising, he's been an invaluable producer in the soundtrack album world and more.

Very sad to see this. I met Nick once, in New York, when for reasons too convoluted and pointless to go into he stopped up into my parents' apartment. I had seen on Facebook that he was ill, and was concerned. A very sad loss.

Damn. He's produced a great number of soundtracks and provided entertaining liner notes (I still chuckle thinking about some passages of Varese Club's The Fury).

He will be missed.

Had the pleasure of meeting Nick during my FSM internship, and occasionally corresponded with him in subsequent years. A real gentleman and a tireless advocate for an art form that meant so much to all of us here. He will be missed.
