Here's my thread, which got one hit (Bill, having a pop).. https://filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?threadID=124486&forumID=1&archive=0 ..and then this one, which, amazingly, got even less interest than mine! Anyway. Saw the film last night. Great, for the first hour or so, but sadly, ran out of steam (badly) in the final third. Enjoyable overall, but nothing to get hugely excited over (ATTACK THE BLOCK was much better to me). The music is great. Electro/Orchestral score. Bold. Adventurous. Exciting. It's quite easy to spot the bits Matt Dunkley and co had a big hand in, but the whole thing is really enjoyable. I think it's available as a download. I haven't heard or seen any CD release and the film's B.O performance won't help a CD release, although the Blur fella and his band might generate some interest. Any thoughts?

Hey Kev, I liked the film quite a lot, but I think they could have pretty much ended it where the kid comes back and home and finds his mom asleep and the have a heart to heart talk. The big finale, sometimes cute, goes on a bit much. But there is a lot to like about the film, good characters and some funny lines, and of course, Patrick Stewart. I like the big main theme for the film, the rest of it is a little beep and boopy for me, not a stand alone kind of score to me.

I heard some samples the other day, was gonna pick up the CD next payday. Sounds pretty sweet.

Listened to half a dozen tracks. Aside from some repetitive acoustic guitar stuff, didn't care for it. This was very overrated. I remember Chistophe Beck's name showing up online as the composer. Would have been more interesting for sure.

I love the Vangelis meets John Carpenter vibe going on in track one (Arthur's Theme - Album Mix).
