I thought it was planned for May/June time.

This and the Alfred Newman releases (A Man Called Peter and Diary of Anne Frank) are my biggies this year (besides whatever new gets released of Jerry's). I've been in love with this score to an extreme, a top six or seven for me.

Glad to see this post as this is the one I'm waiting, perhaps too impatiently, for too. Am happy to be one of the early Kickstarter folks and, from the video I so enjoyed, this should be really fabulous. I've got the Prague Orchestra's wonderful "The Vikings" and "Ben-Hur" to keep me company until this one hits and I can't wait! WOO-HOO! READY!

I bought the Rhino 2-disc CD set of "King of Kings" about fifteen years ago and the recordings on it are exactly the same as were used on the original film soundtrack and not re-recordings with slightly different arrangements as heard on the MGM LP from 1961. I can recommend the Rhino set, which is in stereo.

That and How the West Was Won are two of my favorite releases by that label (I happen to like a couple of their Black Sabbath reissues as well).

I have both of those, plus three other Rhino soundtracks (including the long-box version of Ben-Hur, though I hardly ever listen to that one anymore thanks to the FSM). If I had to choose a favorite from the Rhino soundtracks I have, it’s a close call between King of Kings and Doctor Zhivago, though HTWWW is a close second.

HTWWW is a close second. Super score and release. My favorite Western (and I'm a converted fan of the genre).
