I have recently started watching this adorable little "musical" dramedy show and even got back to some of the earlier Rachel Bloom's videos. Any fans of the show here? Those musical numbers are pretty incredible and even some of her earlier youtube videos are just as great and would be almost way too good (especially the first West Covina number) to be included in some of the best musicals from Disney or Broadway...

Feel free to post your favorite songs... I'll just start with one pre-Crazy-Ex:

and two more from the pilot (directed by Marc Webb)

I am just watching S01E06 (so still a long way to go)... there's a couple of great songs in this one and previous episode too... but so far... they've all been pretty good so hard to pick only a few favorites...

I'm surprised it's a Netflix Original in the UK. In the old days, it would've a natural for Channel 4...

I absolutely love Rachel Bloom and have been following her (career-wise) since Fuck Me, Ray Bradbury.

Favourite songs from the show? There's so many...

But this will always be my favourite Rachel Bloom song...

Also, VERY disappointed in the lack of physical release of the soundtracks. There were CD-Rs on Amazon, but they keep going in and out of print (which is weird for an on-demand service) and one CD is just the songs from one episode.

I'd love to post "We Tapped That Ass." and All the theme songs so far but you'd kill me.

I was also checking that yesterday... S1 Vol 1 is going for insane prices these days frown

I really enjoyed the first season, but it jumped the shark in season two and I gave up.

Watched the first season... loved the music and wittiness of the songs. Started season 2, never made it through, but immensely enjoyed the eventual download-only album released. Didn't bother watching season 3, but again kept checking Amazon for the full album download. Man, what a hilarious and catchy set of songs.

Props to Rachel Bloom and their VERY talented team to turn out songs of this quality on a low budget CW channel timeframe!

The musical numbers is what drew me to the show, I think they have been great, even though they're mostly parodies and not up to the same standard, as say Smash. But I found most of them ridiculously funny and relatable. The show itself is only okay and I am not sure if I would watch it, if it wasn't for the musical numbers.

I must say though that I find almost all of the season four music incredibly underwhelming. Since season one, I have bought the music weekly, which is kind of dumb since you get the season album for much less money later. However, this season I haven't bought any of the music since the second episode, because it just didn't captivate me the same way the music in the previous seasons has captivated me.

Which is unfortunate, as his band Fountains of Wayne have so many other songs that are better than that one (IMO). Been a fan ever since their first album. Very sad to have heard of this yesterday - RIP Adam.
