There is a CD out there that is available, decently priced, and is something you are 100% interested in but you simply haven't gotten around to buying. Occasionally you say to yourself, "How is it that that isn't in my collection yet?"

What is it for you?

Note: This is not another unreleased holy grail thread.

The expanded Cocoon. It's been in my SAE cart...well.....since it was released.

I can't decide between Bernstein's Ghostbusters or Ken Thorne's Murphy's War - The Film Music of Ken Thorne Volume 2, which contains otherwise unavailable incidental music from the Beatles's film Help!.

Just noticed to my chagrin that it’s no available by the look of it, but Quartet’s Basic Instinct.

Also kept meaning to buy Varese’s Ghostbusters too.

Rozsa Treasury

Was the Treasury among the stolen CD’s, cause I could have sworn I read of you getting ahold of this last year?

As for me, there are a number of CD’s I could go with, but for now I shall have to go with Varèse’s CD of Bernstein’s Hawaii, for which I arrived on the soundtrack collecting front too late to obtain.

Varèse's GHOSTBUSTERS has sold out years ago, in fact, it's pretty much a collector's item these days. And yes, BASIC INSTINCT is also sold out.

Yes Tack, that was among the CDs stolen, a devastating loss. I have gotten most of my prized Rozsa, Newman, Goldsmith back though (in part due to awesome folks here giving me great deals and even a couple of super gracious freebies).

But yeah, it would be a happy day to score that wonderful Treasury again. Diamonds, that.

The Rocketeer expanded. It’s been “out of stock” for like a year and a half now.

Seriously? I've seen you mentioning this for a while, but forget what reason they gave for it being out of stock so long.

I remember once upon a time when we actually had CD stores here in Sweden. Most of the soundtracks that I was interested back then but because of whatever reason I did not buy back then is now thanks to either Screenarchives or my visit to Amoeba in L.A. is in my collection, well except maybe one title and that is Harry Manfredini`s Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (part 9 for those who don`t know which one this is). I do have the soundtracks to each and everyone else in the series except this one and I did once held it in my hand but back then decided to get something else and I have since then searched for it but it never showed up.

The Varese Spartacus box. The fact that Varese was working on Spartacus was well-known at the time, and I was hugely looking forward to it, but when it was announced that it was that huge elaborate box-set and consequently out of reach of my wallet (the customs tax alone would make my eyes water) it was forever consigned to the 'I would have loved that' pile.

Funnily enough, by the time the stripped-down release came I was just too worn out by gnashing my teeth at vanity projects to care.

Available as 16 bits download at Qobuz :

Unfortunately, there's no digital booklet (and it can't be purchased from some countries).
