I think they've had some things in the works, but I do think it would be interesting to take the exact story basically, and do it from her (Alex Forrest) point of view.
She added, "I think she'd become a tragic figure, rather than perceived as an evil figure."

AQUAMAN---writer David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick is returning to write the sequel.

Aladdin looks horrendous, Guy Ritchie was the wrong guy to direct this film from the start

Thanks, Dragon!
I commented on the other side of the board in the post about Mencken's score. I don't really get all the hysteria bouncing around about this. Genie wasn't blue enough, now he's too blue, cultural appropriation, yada, yada. Maybe the film will suck, but it has Mencken's filmscore!

If there is one thing in these Disney remakes that I absolutely adore, it is got to be the costume designs and Aladdin looks like it's got the best in that category so far.

Post edited to fix the typo in costume design

Catch-22 looks like it could be very good. It seems it'll be on Channel Four in the UK.

It’ll be hard not to pine for Alan Arkin in the rôle but I can’t wait to see this. The film was great but seemed to lack connective tissue - a series should give it that luxury.

I find trends tiring in general, and the current "serial-out-of-anything" approach is one of those trends. Many times it means adding a lot of padding and pretentious fluff. You can't pour 5 liters out of a 1 liter bottle.

Wise words, Disco Stu, but as Inspector Alan Fivehouse once said: "Trying to fit a pound of brie into a four-ounce sandwich will inevitably lead to sticky fingers."

That Genie pic is priceless. I've never bothered with Disney's "live action" (HAH!) remakes in theaters, and now the trend continues. Maybe Mulan has a shot...

Okay, so another superhero team movie, but this time Evans doesn't have to bulk up for it and he gets to play Cleopatra or a Scotland Yard gumshoe?

I don't see the outrage either. Are they upset a black man is blue in color? Or he looks nothing like the animated version? My biggest concern is Will Smith hasn't been "funny" in 25 years.

BTW, Disney stole the design for the Genie from Don Bluth's video game Space Ace. Where the bad guy looked like an "Alien Genie".
