I picked up City Slickers a few years ago because I remember really enjoying the films and there were a few instances where the score jumped out at me. I only played the CD once though because the sound quality was so muffled. I may need to revisit with a more open mind...
Not sure if anybody saw this, but Disney released the instrumental versions of the songs from Mary Poppins Returns. While I wasn't a big fan of the songs, the orchestrations and score for the film were fantastic and it's great to hear these songs without the vocals and appreciate the work that Shaiman and his orchestrators did on the film. I could hear them using this as background music in the Disney Parks.
