it looks like Pemberton is cementing is relationship with Scott. Such a shame Pemberton didn't work on the last Alien, there would have been at least a good thing about it ;-)

That's nonsense. The film was friggin' fantastic, and the score was very impressive -- in my top 10 that year.
That being said, Pemberton is a talented fellow, and I wouldn't mind him teaming up with Scott more regularly. He's a more interesting composer to me than Marc Streitenfeld (even though he knocked out a few good things too, when they were a pair).
and fingers crossed that if there ever is third part of the prequel series, it will be scored either by Pemberton or HGW... last two scores were both pretty much equally terrible.
