THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 14

GHOSTBUSTERS 3---cast breakdown for two lead characters were revealed for the sequel.

He is also a brilliantly quick thinker under pressure, is at ease with technology, and has a high facility for problem-solving.

UNNAMED (LEAD GIRL 2): To play 13 years old. Fun-loving, a bit of an airhead. Always curious, haunted, charmed, dazed."

DUNE---Josh Brolin will play Gurney Halleck in the Denis Villeneuve remake movie. Patrick Stewart played the role in the original 1984 movie.

TRVIA---Valentine's Day trivia.
Julie Hagerty and Robert Hays played the romantic airliner couple of flight attendant Elaine Dickinson and ex-fighter pilot Ted Striker in AIRPLANE! and AIRPLANE II: THE SEQUEL. A pre-famous Sigourney Weaver auditioned for the Dickinson role, but she balked at the line, "...how I used to sit on your face and wriggle." The role went to Hagerty. Weaver achieved fame as Ellen Ripley, a member of another flight crew in ALIEN.

I'd rather pay $350 to stop Ado's constant DUNE bashing every time the topic pops up.

A year or two ago I put a "South Park" fanfiction up ("The Search for Chef") where the kids traveling back in time using bacon shakes from Jack In the Box and an old Atari console. I feel like my fanfiction was read by somebody more than a random fan.

A Nickelodeon Star Trek show for younger viewers?

A. They could at least pretend they're not trying to milk the cash cow dry by not having three shows in pre-production at the same time.

B. Star Trek was always appropriate for younger viewers until these geniuses decided to make it something it wasn't intended to be. That was the beauty of it. It could be a gateway for thoughtful science fiction for anyone. These schmucks don't get it.

Yes, I think we've understood that that is your position by now. You seem kinda obsessed about it -- even if they haven't started shooting yet.

A really good adaptation of Dune would be welcome, although I really enjoyed the SFC mini series.

I also enjoyed the Ghostbusters remake, it was better than GB2 in 1989, but this "continuation" doesn't thrill me. Why have a continuation if you're aren't planning to use any of the surviving original cast? For all I know they are, but I haven't heard any mention of them.

And Hagerty was freaking adorable in the role. That line could have been icky, but she was so cute.

Yeah but Weaver didn't balk at being sexually assaulted by her recliner or being being Zuul the Gatekeeper.
