THE LORD OF THE RINGS---Amazon Prime released a map of Middle-earth for the new tv series.

DUNE---Jason Momoa is in negotiations to play Duncan Idaho in the Denis Villenueve remake movie. Richard Jordan played the character in the original 1984 movie.
Also, writer Eric Roth (FORREST GUMP) commented on writing the DUNE script, “DUNE was a real challenge; Denis Villeneuve brought me on. I had done some little bits of stuff for him for ARRIVAL.
I turned in a really long draft, which I think was pretty cumbersome to make within the budget. I think the ideas were great, and I think they used most of them, but that needed a good look. I think Denis has…brought in another writer to trim it out, and get back to the book in some respects, so I think it’s exciting. The approach to it’s pretty wonderful, and it could be a beautiful movie."
He also commented on writing KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON for Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio, "KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON...is one of the great stories that one could tell. I think any good writer would do this justice; it’s such a powerful piece, and it’ll be Marty Scorsese basically doing a Western. I would say it would be [filming] late next summer, he’d start [shooting], early fall. I know how much [Scorsese] loves it, and I’m just sending literally this morning the last of this iteration of the script. Then, I’m sure we’ll start rewriting again."
GAME OF THRONES---fans may have accessed the HBO cast list of Season 8's premiere episode. The cast list includes characters that have not appeared in some time including Robin Arryn (Lino Facioli) and Edmure Tully (Tobiaz Menzies).
YOUR NAME---Paramount Pictures remake of the anime is underway with Marc Webb (THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN) as the director.
PSYCH: THE MOVIE 2---USA Network movie sequel underway in which Police Chief Lassiter is gunned down and begins to see strange things while recovering in the hospital. The original cast returns.
PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN---writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick have left the reboot movie.
THE EXTRACTORS: ESCAPE PLAN---Sylvester Stallone said the second sequel is underway and the first sequel was, "...beyond awful!!!"
THE DEVIL ALL THE TIME---Sebastian Stan replaces Chris Evans in the Netflix movie based on the novel. Evans withdrew due to a schedule conflict.
ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK?---Nickelodeon revival miniseries will premiere in October, 2019.
TRIVIA--Rene Russo made her movie debut in the 1989 baseball comedy MAJOR LEAGUE which also starred Charlie Sheen, Tom Berenger and Wesley Snipes.
