I took advantage of the sale and finally got that great A.I. set.
Today in the mail I received what I could only describe as a package that looked and felt like it contained an inflated balloon. What it had in it was the A.I. CD, wrapped in WAY more bubblewrap than I've ever seen around a CD or DVD.
My A.I. set arrived in perfect shape, unscratched, unchipped, fully undamaged, right down to properly seated CDs and a pristine booklet. And they did this for a score I bought it at a discount.
I'm now even more glad I just helped MV and team fund eight other projects by picking that smashing looking new Superman set (upgrading the score for the fourth time in my life).
LOL - I once requested extra packaging from LLL when I ordered the SUPERMAN II/III set. Well the set arrived fine but the customs people at the post office were intrigued and they had to open the package, the sealed cds and I think they even played the damn music just to see what it was all about. I was pissed that my package was pryed open but if that rubbed off in a good way perhaps -some one must have enjoyed the music at the least. Never happened again though!
Having CDs wrapped in bubble wrap is definitely the best way to go. When I sold my collection I wrapped each CD in bubble wrap and made sure they were wrapped good. Even if it was just one CD I'd wrap it in bubble wrap anyways to keep it safe during shipping.
I do love that LLL always ship their CDs in bubble wrap. Top notch shipping there.
I've gotten CD's shipped internationally in little more then a padded envelope that arrived in perfect condition (while stuff shipped just across the state arrived with cracked covers and broken spindle teeth). I just dont know what the secret sauce is to shipping CDs.
