I would like to make the list of all live concerts of John Williams' music performed by the London Symphony Orchestra.

To this day I have found info about the following concerts only:

February 16th 1978 - Royal Albert Hall, London - conducted by John Williams

June 29th 1996 - Barbican Centre, London - conducted by John Williams

June 29th 1998 - Symphony Hall, Birmingham - conducted by John Williams

July 1st - 4th 1998 - Barbican Centre, London - conducted by John Williams

February 20th 2005 - Barbican Centre, London - conducted by Dirk Brossé (due to John Williams' work on War of the Worlds)

July 15th 2005 - Canada Square Park, London - conducted by François-Xavier Roth (free concert)

November 1st 2010 - Kölner Philharmonie, Cologne - conducted by Frank Strobel

November 8th 2012 - Barbican Centre, London - conducted by Frank Strobel

October 26th 2018 - Royal Albert Hall, London - conducted by Dirk Brossé (due to John Williams' illness)

Does anybody know about another John Williams' concerts performed by the LSO?

I need infomation about the date, place and name of the conductor.

Thank you very much for your help in advance!

I attended the concert conducted by Strobel. The highlight was the 1941 March. The audience went crazy after that piece which was brilliantly played with much verve and gusto.

I would like to make the list of all live concerts of John Williams' music performed by the London Symphony Orchestra.

This is not what you were looking for, E-Wan, but I have info at the link below regarding the second half of Filmharmonic 85, where John Williams conducted the London Philharmonic Orchestra playing selections of his music. I have photos somewhere, but this link is to an artist's recreation of me, wetting myself, as John signed my "Jaws" album: https://flic.kr/p/LYy2PB

It was the London Symphony Orchestra! I was there and couldn’t believe I was watching John Williams.
John Scott and John Gregory also conducted.

Thank you both for information.

I have just found more information about this concert:

16 November 1985: Laughter and Music and Stars that Shine, a programme of music from films made by Thorn EMI Screen Entertainment and at Elstree Studios, introduced by Sir Richard Attenborough and given by the London Symphony Orchestra, the Stephen Hill Singers and the Fanfare Trumpeters of the Central Band of the Royal Air Force, conducted by Wing Commander Eric Banks, Stanley Black, John Gregory, John Scott and John Williams with Gemma Craven (vocal) and Margaret Fingerhut (piano).

Is it the one and only John Williams' concert with the LSO which was not included in my list?

Oh, was it? Thanks, Brendon. The memory was a bit foggy. I originally had it listed at my Flickr as the LSO, but then I questioned that, because I thought all the Filmharmonic show were LPO – glad to hear I was incorrect in my post above (and fixed now at my Flickr)! I will try to dig out my old photos. Probably have the program somewhere, too. My friends and I had great seats, right up close to the side of the orchestra, and if this part of my fading memory is correct, I recall some of the string section nearby us twirled their cellos around during 'Anything Goes.' It was a great show. John conducted the second half, I believe?

No problem at all!
I may have been sitting near you. My mum, nan, my mate Derek and I were sitting in the choir stalls to the right of the orchestra as you look towards the stage.
My mate and I became really excited when we saw The Asteroid Field on the music stand but it was not played.

John Williams was welcomed on to the stage with the fanfare from Superman.

I still have the programme.

That's right near where I was sitting! Gosh, I really have to find those photos, now.

Thinking about it, I now believe the instrument-twirling gag was during the 'Cantina Band' encore, not 'Anything Goes.' Forgot about 'Asteroid Chase' (I think I read it on the program, but forgot it wasn't played). I did get my hanky ready as they played their final number, and I threw it into the air to commemorate Willie Scott's final flourish at the end of her number. Fun times.

Hey Dogplant. remember getting VIP treatment as we all (Don Judy and Dogplant went to see John Williams conducting the TSO (Tucson Symphony Orchestra) in hey hey Tucson Arizona. Don and I spent $100 and treated Dogplant) and you know the line from Raiders "Do you want to talk to God, let's go see Him together I've got nothing better to lose."

Well enough said.

Filmharmonic 85.... I may have been sitting near you...

Hi, Brendon.

These are a long time coming, but here are my photos of John Williams at Filmharmonic '85, retrieved from a shoebox in my parents' house, finally scanned and uploaded into my Flickr album of JW encounters.

A panorama of the Albert Hall (can you find yourself?): https://flic.kr/p/2fSdxUU
John Williams in action with the LSO: https://flic.kr/p/TNxCJy
At the stage door, just before he signed my "Jaws" album: https://flic.kr/p/2fSdAed

My complete Flickr album link of JW encounters (includes Tucson '89, per Judy's post above): https://flic.kr/s/aHsmhXULaS

Brilliant Dogplant! Thank you for posting g these great photos.

If memory serves me correctly I was sitting just out of shot top right above that man in your photo. The photo of JW conducting comes from a similar angle to where we were. Unbelievable!

Thank you again!

8 August and 9 August 1982. John Williams conducting the LSO & chorus; "Pops in Space". Open air concerts at the Barbican Centre, London.

I was there and still have the programme. Listening to the concert was a bit problematic due to the frequent noise of planes flying overhead!

There were actually THREE concerts at the Barbican in June '96, on the 26th, 28th and 30th (not the 29th). I was at the last two (and was fortunate enough to get backstage and shake hands on the 28th smile).
