These two excellent scores share a lot of similarities.
Both feature Chris Young in fine form, melding his impressive symphonic capabilities with his more techno/synth influenced side.
He also collaborates with singer/song producer types on each score.
Peter Gabriel* & Tori Amos for Virtuosity and Paul Oakenfold on Swordfish.
I think each score features some of my most favourite music from Chris Young.
Virtuosity has some great Goldsmith style metered action licks.
Also, both scores have had 'promo' releases, which possibly navigated/sidestepped the complex rights issues that are probably preventing each score from ever being released legitimately.
Any other fans of these scores?

*the Intrada promo is probably the ONLY place you can get some of those Gabriel pieces. 'Safe' is one of the best tracks I've ever heard from Young.

VIRTOUSITY, I think I sampled many years ago. Have no memories of it.

But SWORDFISH I quite like (although I far prefer Oakenfold's album).

Excellent scores, both.
Hope they reach the masses, eventually....

Splinters....amazing. Those meters!!!!
I don't care if they are in 4 or 8 or are actually simple,
They sound mighty complicated.

Aye Sean, it's just great writing overall, constantly grabbing the attention of your ears in the most spectacular fashion.

Couldn't agree more, Kev. I remember stumbling on the end of VIRTUOSITY years ago, not really paying attention, and all the sudden this gorgeous theme popped up and floored me. Any future release including this track would be an automatically purchase for me.

I hope someone gets to it to read the behind the scenes story alone (Virtuosity)...this was one of the shortest post schedules ever, apparently. However, now, maybe 3 weeks was a lot? And how much is missing from the promo?
