Have you ever gone through a car wash listening to Tibbett Gets Washed Out from A View to a Kill?

I recently uploaded my iTunes library to the cloud, and while I was washing the Colorado bomb cyclone off my car yesterday, I thought - Hey, I could pretend to be Patrick Macnee getting wiped out as the rollers shine the Rolls.

So I blasted the cue and it was a hoot!

Ever done something like that - almost literally reliving a moment from a film (even a silly one) with the score blasting?

I think the nearest I can think of is being driven into Portmeirion to the opening theme for The Prisoner tv series. No, it's not the most appropriate match-up since that music actually plays when Patrick McGoohan is driving around London in that title sequence, but hey it worked for us!

Not too long ago I was listening to The Enterprise as I was driving home and I ended up backing into my carport in perfect time to the finale.

I was recently going for on a several-day backpacking expedition. I had gone several days without really listening to any music. I had my mp3 player but I wasn't listening to it because I was focusing more on the hike. Around day 3, I started to get a little lonely so I put on my headphone during a particularly desolate section of trail and decided to give First Blood a listen. At times I felt like I was being chased over the hills and during others, I felt a terrible melancholy for home--all because of the music.

Ah, the Bomb Cyclone - I was lucky I didn't have to leave my Ft Collins house that day!

I was once riding a bobsled while listening to OHMSS when I suddenly found myself in an unexpected life-or-death struggle with a bald criminal mastermind.

I made a CDR of TV themes with THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN on it, and sometimes I put the car in gear and pull out of a parking space just as they say "We have separation."

I also go out of a very long driveway that has a storm sewer grate where it meets the street, and one time I was playing LIS "The Hungry Sea" during a massive rainstorm. As I went down the driveway and approached the street, there was a wide and deep puddle at the bottom with a literal whirlpool swirling around that grate. I could almost hear Judy saying "We have no choice! We must cut to the left!" That was fantastic.

Good stories, all. I seem to remember a similar experience with The Enterprise, and I've gotta try out First Blood on a hike in the Rockies.

Keep 'em coming!

I sliced up some people and ate a censor taker's liver with a nice chianti to the main title from Silence of the lambs once. Does that count?

Which of us hasn't?

I was heading across country two or three winters ago to pick my daughter up from Lancaster University and got diverted from the (relatively) main road up through bandit country on the North Yorkshire/Lancashire borders, all with snow on the ground and still falling in gusts. I was playing "The Hateful Eight" cd at the time, which was just perfect.

I ran along the actual beach ( can't remember the name ) they filmed the HIGHLANDER 'quickening' sequence, while listening to the music. Pretty exhilarating ( 'sad git' that i am!) :-)

Afraid not. Now, if you had been listening to Bach's Goldberg Variations....

Ready when you are, Sgt. Pembry.

When I first moved to FoCo in 1987, I used to hum the OHMSS theme while I skied in the Colotado Mountians.

In fact, OHMSS was the reason I learned to ski as a wee lad back in 1969.
