TUESDAY, MARCH 19 LUCY IN THE SKY---trailer released for the movie starring Natalie Portman and John Hamm. Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YujZxa4fk6U ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD---Margot Robbie posted the poster photo of herself as Sharon Tate in the Quentin Tarantino movie. GAME OF THRONES---Miranda Richardson (HARRY POTTER) has joined the cast of the HBO prequel pilot in an undisclosed role. STAR TREK: DISCOVERY---Anson Mount (Captain Pike) and Rebecca Romijn (Number One) will not be returning for Season 3. This is part of showrunner Alex Kurtzman's plan to “synchronize with canon by the end of this season”. BLACK WIDOW---Florence Pugh (OUTLAW KING) is in talks to play Black Widow's "rival". SLIDERS---John Rhys-Davies said he and Jerry O'Connell are talking with NBC about a revival of the sci fi tv series, “Jerry had been pestering me for a number of years and we’re actually talking to NBC at the moment to see if there’s any possibility of rebooting the series. They’re looking into the basic question of who actually owns it. At the moment we don’t seem to be able to find that out. I would do it again, if just to show how it should be done. It could have been the best show on television, it could still be on the air. I think maybe if we got another chance at doing it with the new technology, but also new stories, I think we could do something quite extraordinary. I wouldn’t want to do it for the rest of my life, but I would do it for a season or two if it was right.” DUNE---synopsis released for the Denis Villeneuve remake movie, "A mythic and emotionally charged hero’s journey, “Dune” tells the story of Paul Atreides, a brilliant and gifted young man born into a great destiny beyond his understanding, who must travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure the future of his family and his people. As malevolent forces explode into conflict over the planet’s exclusive supply of the most precious resource in existence—a commodity capable of unlocking humanity’s greatest potential—only those who can conquer their fear will survive." SUPERMAN---Joss Whedon commented on Henry Cavill as Superman, "Cavill is a GREAT Superman - definitely the best since Reeves, and could take the top spot with the right material/barber". The "barber" comment apparently refers to Cavill's mustache being removed for JUSTICE LEAGUE via CGI. THE LONG KISS GOODNIGHT---Renny Harlin said he has written a sequel script to his 1996 spy movie that starred Geena Davis and Samuel L. Jackson, "I've created a treatment for [a sequel] where basically in a nutshell the story is that in the opening sequence Geena's [Davis] character is murdered. And her daughter, who now would be in her early 20s, who was five or six years old in the original, she would be now in her 20s. And she's in university. After her mother dies, she receives this mysterious package. And there's something in it that she doesn't really understand And now all the government and a couple of bad guys are after her because they have a hunch that the mother sent the item to her. So now she's on the run. She has no-one to turn to, she's so over her head. The only person that she knows that could maybe help is Sam Jackson's character. And then it becomes basically a road movie. But now it's Sam and Geena's daughter on the road. That's my treatment." He added about Jackson returning, "I talked to Sam a lot about it. Sam said 100% he's in. He would love to do it." TRIVIA---in LE MANS, Siegfried Rauch played Steve McQueen's racing rival, Erich Stahler. McQueen chose Rauch for the role after seeing Rauch in PATTON. Rauch and McQueen became lifelong friends, and McQueen was the godfather of one of Rauch's sons. In LE MANS, Siegfried Rauch played Steve McQueen's racing rival, Erich Stahler. McQueen chose Rauch after seeing him play Capt. Oskar Steiger in PATTON.

I was very disappointed when they killed his character off on the show.
