A new kickstarter is in place to fund a concert of Michiru Oshima's Godzilla soundtracks and if successful will also debut a new piece of music. Currently 29 days remain in the campaign.

Bit of a dick move to say that the $50 pledge includes all previous tier rewards then immediately cancel out 50% of them, but hey, I'm down with this. Oshima is my favourite GODZILLA composer outside of Ifukube.

Yeah but how many people who are savy enough to contribute to a Kickstarters aren't savy enough to rip a CD to their own computer? The digital download is reletively worthless outside perhaps being able to get it sooner.

That said it doesn't make much sense, either.

For this concert Michiru Ohshima will compose a new musical piece on the assumption that "if Godzilla lands in Chicago" and perform it world premiere.
