Or even thought of taking a hammer to? Sorry, sounds kind of violent.

The board double posted my Gil Melle post, so I didn't want to waste a post and had to think of something.

Not a CD Soundtrack for me, but actually a DVD Movie.

I don't know what it is, but I just can't stand the movie PUNCH DRUNK LOVE and I had to fight myself from scratching the heck out of it (the DVD) on the road in front of my house.

I think I'll be okay.

And I know a lot of you out there may love this P.T. Anderson Movie. I just find it totally irritating and unwatchable for some reason. Maybe I'm just not a big fan of Adam Sandler?

I've never got that angry with a film score. Even Bangalter's IRREVERSIBLE I probably still have somewhere. I think I did throw the HANNIBAL CD away because the dialogue excerpts made it unlistenable.

Never hammered a CD, obviously, but I've thrown quite a few of them in the trash bin. Mostly CD-Rs, though.

Don't think I've ever hated an OST CD that badly.

There have been a couple of REALLY bad compilation re-recordings (you know, the sort of thing where the performer's name is the something-something orchestra which turns out to be one guy with a synth and everything's at the same volume and there's no life to the performance) ... but even those I've just donated to the local charity shop.

Having said that, one online vendor recently must've got their packing lists or shipping labels mixed up, because I received something I hadn't ordered: 'Tulpen aus Amsterdam' by 'KirmesMusikanten' ... it's as appalling as the cover suggests it's going to be. I've rescued the jewel case, but the disc and booklet are headed for the bin unless one of you lot would like some 1970s Dutch accordion music :-/

Junkie "Mad Max"

I was given this by a friend who wanted me to "get into XL more". It did just the opposite. Abysmally unoriginal, flatly produced, overall really irritating to listen to.

No offense to fans of JXL meant in the least, it's just me.

I used it as a frisbee.

Someone gave me the Last Samurai CD -- which I listened to once, and once was enough.

But instead of throwing it away, I just gave it to my karate instructor, since he loved the film.

Unfortunately he decided to start playing it during our class. I guess I should have given him The Challenge instead!

Perfectly sums up my reaction to the US butchered version of The Thief and the Cobbler with annoying voiceovers by Matthew Broderick and Jonathan Winters, only there I actually wanted to throw the TV out the window I hated the film so.

I honestly can't think of a CD I've had that reaction to though.

Not a soundtrack but I have destroyed a CD once.

Years ago I worked at a cafe and the owner was a total asshat. He had a shitty CD player that broke and could not eject the CD tray, so we had to listen to his one awful new-age Sting album (I have no idea which one) for like a month straight. When I finally got that tray open, I snapped that disc in half and threw it behind his desk.

Wow, couldn't be more deserving. But I didn't really care much for Sting when he did rock lol!

Baldwin (as Jack Donaghy on 30 Rock): "Never invite Sting to play at your wedding, all he'll do is smooth jazz versions of the Police. It's very demoralizing".

Tina Fey: "No one cares about you and your too-rich trip to Sunburnt Penis Island".

Baldwin: "Didn't you hear? Sunburnt Penis Island burnt down because of Sting!"

GAD I miss that show.

Haha. I don’t mind his early Police stuff. And he’s a decent actor. I really liked him in Stormy Monday. “Get receipts!”

Great flick if you haven’t seen it.

I got given twat ritchie's rocknrolla - it was so bad. I took a hammer to it in the garden and broke up the pieces and scattered them in different bins (like Robert de niro breaking up his pistol down different chimneys!) I wanted to ensure that no one could ever see that dvd and go thru what i had to. Even destroying one copy was a contribution towards stopping torture.

Bill I'm confused as to what dvd you're referring to. When I see Ritchie I think Blackmore, when I see rocknrolla I think Judas Priest.

Metaphorical.
Not literally.
