Happy to see three Kritzerland titles in the SAE weekly to ten - The Cardinal, Laurette, and surprisingly, The Streets of New York, just to show you there's a world outside of soundtracks on SAE.
I will also tell you that The House that Dripped Blood is down to under 100 copies.
Glad the thread has re-emerged from wherever it was hiding... and very glad I bought this CD. It arrived today and I enjoyed my first listen very much. Sound is particularly good for the percussive exuberance of Rashomon. Those still awaiting this CD should be well pleased with it.
I'm in the middle of "Death of a salesman" (1951) and since the film music isn't available, I'm wondering how similar it is with the Broadway recording. I imagine that North scored more in the film because it's a fixed medium unlike the stage? And he had a different orchestra.
