FOR THE NICE AND PROFESSIONAL (MY ASS) PACKAGING.

I'M PISSED AND AM DONE WITH ORDERING FROM YOU!!!

THANKS FOR SHIPPING IT IN THE FLIMSY PAPER CARDBOARD.

MY MCDONALDS BURGER WRAPPER PAPER WOULD HAVE BEEN JUST AS GOOD!!!

Sorry to shout on the wonderful FSM Board but this is UNACCEPTABLE

AND YOU SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED AND ASHAMED.

THIS ORDER IS CRAP TO ME.

AND YOU HAVE THE GALL TO ASK CUSTOMERS TO PAY FOR POSTAGE AND SEND BACK THE

WRONG STUFF YOU SENT THEM.

I CAN'T FIND WORDS. IS ANYONE WITH A BRAIN IN CHARGE THERE????

The width of the flimsy Paper Bag they sent me my 3 CD Order in. I always pick at least 1st Class for Shipping, but it seems that was changed to Media Mail. Does Media Mail then mean you get your order sent in a Paper Bag? The McDonald's Burger Wrapping Paper would have done just the same job in protection. Ever hear of Bubble Wrap Varese? Even the Dollar Store Mailing Envelopes have that in them.

And they have the Added Gall in their Return Instructions:

Enclose this completed form and merchandise "in sturdy" packaging and mail to the following address:

For God's sake.........

As have been stated many times before SHIPPING of VARESE titles has been handled by an outside vendor for sometime and it's a contact they are locked into for sometime to come.

This was a deal signed by the former owners and VARESE can't get out of it until the contact is up.

If it's concord who is shipping the CDS, I doubt anything will change for the time being.

So I'd direct my anger at the fulfillment company and the postal service.

Beyond delivering the product, VAERSE doesn't have control over this service at this time.

I'm sure if you contact them they will do everything they can to correct the matter, but that's about it for the moment.

The good news is that if the jewel case is broken or damaged, it's fairly east to replacement them.

So VARESE is PAYING IDIOTS to ship their wonderful products. I would think Varese would have given them instructions on how to ship breakable CD's and use Bubble Wrap for their Paying Customers.

EVERYBODY LOSES! BUT I still say VARESE is Ultimately Responsible.

RAGGEDY MAN is SOLD OUT No getting replacements on those.

The thing for Varese to do is step up to the plate with some refunds or gifts to us and let us keep the damaged goods we were sent. And send those gifts themselves in STURDY packaging.

They are still responsible for whatever happens with an idiot service they have hired.

Varese you can send any refunds or gifts to me.

my orders can be looked up at: zooba57 at gmail.com

And if the discs were damaged, you can always whistle the music! You know how to whistle, zooba? Just pucker up and blow.

The "it's easy just to replace a jewel case" is bullshit.

We who pay money for a product shouldn't have to go out and do that.

Thaxton this is BS. They are business not a student project.

The customer doesn’t care about the behind the scenes or mechanics of running the business.
Couldn’t give a shit about what contracts are awarded to outside vendors and any failures therein.
The product the customer receives is what matters at the end of the day.

If the vendor is responsible for the poor packaging and sending out wrong orders, then VS should be reprimanding said vendors. Surely there has to be penalties/fines the vendor is held accountable for as part of the contract if SLAs/QC aren’t met?

Plus their customer service sucks. As mentioned before they stated they won’t replace cracked cases. You mention replacing broken jewelled cases, but who keeps paying for that? It is the principle at the end of the day.

There are a lot of, (rightly), angry people on this board who have just had enough of the substandard service.

This is on Varese not the shipping company. They should've picked a quality shipping and packing company. If they are stuck in a shipping contract, (never knew there was such a thing!) They should demand a release from the contract for consistently sending out the wrong product, damage products or (in my case) forgetting to ship out my order. Last but not least sue the company for shoddy work.

Well this will teach ya to try to corner the market on Goldsmith titles. Next time order some Jeff Beal cds and request those go on the outside of the keeper title.

The former ONWERS choose to do this because it saved them $$$$.

The folks who did this are no longer own VARESE, but they are stuck wit the deal.

Now before you all blow a gasket, think about it.

If VARESE could them to do a better job under the terms of said agreement, they would.

Rage all you want, but I'd suggest being a tad calmer and reach out to them in a POLITE manner and I suspect they will do everything they can to help you.

As for "Replacing broken Jewels is Bullshit", I've been doing it myself since 1988.

I't not that hard to do and really doesn't cost much.

If the product is damaged, more then likely the postal service is t he one to blame, not VARESE.

Take a deep breath, chill, think about and try not to be over the top over a fairly minor issue.

FYI, this deal was made by the FORMER OWNERS of VARESE who no longer are there.

Also, if the company in question doesn't want out of the contact you are sort of stuck.

We've bitched about Naxos since Varese hired them to process and ship orders, and bitched about this latest release as well, no need to start a separate thread:

The customer's money for both item and shipping is paid to Varese, as shown on their payment confirmations. Subsequent shipping updates are sent by e-mails bearing the Varese identity. Any negative involvement by a contracted third-party shipping company is Varese's concern, not the customer's.

Perhaps you can apply this to your own company

After Todd and I were no long shipping and it went to Naxos, we tried and tried to get them to tweak the shipping, more padding, something. Sorry we weren't able to change this.

I'd also be curious to know if Naxos ships items in these card board containers if you use Media Mail or if they use them for Media Mail and Priority Mail. Maybe Priority Mail they use mailers. Has anyone gotten a bubble mailer that had these shipped Priority Mail in the U.S.A.? Has any overseas customer gotten a package in this card board containers?

Sorry guys.

ZOOBA: You shouldn't have to do that Ford.

I't not that hard to do and really doesn't cost much.

ZOOBA: Again, paying customers should not have to do that.

If the product is damaged, more then likely the postal service is t he one to blame, not VARESE.

ZOOBA: No, bubble wrap and "sturdy" packaging in "their words" is the answer and solution.

Take a deep breath, chill, think about and try not to be over the top over a fairly minor issue.

I paid for Priority Shipping for the 3 titles I ordered. No delivery or shipment yet.

That is just awful. I would demand replacements. Its obvious the company shipping for Varese dont care at all.

Thanks Peter. Whenever I ordered when you were still there, everything was fine and really great. You were indeed a wonderful asset to them.

Thanks so much for you kind words and compassion. YOU are a PROFESSIONAL Sir!

Todd was the master at shipping and I can’t tell you how much pride he took in that job. I was lucky to assist him from time to time. smile
