I have not seen Ron Pulliam post for a long time. At one time he did post that he had some health issues but was better.

I have two e mail addresses for him. I sent him an e mail about a week ago to both e mail addresses, and it appears that both went through; however, I've received no reply.

Ron has been with FSM since 2,000 and is one of our most learned and valuable members, so I hope he is okay and will post here soon. I believe he lives the Bay Area, and I'm hoping a few of you members have been in touch with him.

Ron, I hope you are well and will come back to FSM soon.

I never saw this post, Joan. It was long gone by the time I revisited to see what was going on. I do not recall the e-mails. If the address you have starts with "pulliamrl" and ends with "PacBell.net", that IS my address. But I used to have one that was just "Pulliamr", and I abandoned it after it was hacked and I began receiving 400 e-mails a day of spam.

I think my constant. ( if accurate) disparaging of Golden Age scores drove him away frown

If only.... frown

Rest assured, "other" Bruce, that your disparagements only give me reason to stay.

The "irony" of Golden Age films being melodramatic is that so many of today's films are just as melodramatic and over the top, albeit in a mumblecore, "cockily-walking-away-from-a-massive-explosion" sort of way.

I'll take Bette Davis over your beloved Vin Diesel any day, creeps.

Just saw Bette on THE VIRGINIAN ( 1962)
Always enjoyed her guest appearances on tv shoes of the 60s!

I just saw this, Ron. Maybe my e mails went to spam. Oh well, just glad you are back.
