Spotted on iTunes this morning:

Ostwind/Aris Ankunft
https://alhambra-records.de/portfolio/ostwind-aris-ankunft/

Rocca verändert die Welt

Purchased the new Ostwind and have been listening this morning...good stuff, revisiting the existing themes and ideas...really gorgeous stuff so far.

I guess we'd have to call this some "Focks News." (And yet, it appears to be true!)

Well, yes, this was discussed in another thread;

https://www.filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?forumID=1&pageID=1&threadID=95243&archive=0

The two new scores are actually one, It is Ostwind (#4) and it's subtitle is 'Aris Ankunft'. I already got this CD very recently. I really love the Ostwind scores, I have to listen to this one more to hear if it's as good as it's predecessors. There actually is another new Focks score available as download only, 'Sweethearts';

https://www.amazon.de/Sweethearts-Original-Motion-Picture-Soundtrack/dp/B07P8S4TY1/ref=sr_1_16?__mk_de_DE=ÅMÅŽÕÑ&crid=1TXLTBQR3XZJB&keywords=annette+focks&qid=1554554378&s=dmusic&sprefix=annette+focks%2Caps%2C152&sr=1-16

Let's hope this will also get a release on Alhambra on a proper CD, but I wouldn't count on it.

I have the first OSTWIND, which suffices for me. Her NIGHT TRAIN TO LISBON is also excellent, but too long. Need to reprogram it. Wish someone would release her score for Billle August's STILLE HJERTE.

I love the first Ostwind score, but was disappointed in the sequel. Didn't they skip Ostwind 2 and release Ostwind 3 instead?

Yes, and the latter's CD release included a 13-minute Ostwind 2 suite as a bonus track at the end.

Thor...I think you might like this sequel score even more...it's far less "poppy"...it's more subtle and melancholy. It has some truly lovely moments. The first track, in particular, has a sequence toward it's end with a mournful cello solo over distant timpani...it's...exceptionally lovely.

Beautiful score, absolutely sublime! Very moody, parts of it gives me the same vibes as Gladiator and TLOTR's.

Edit: spun Ostwind 3 again just to compare the two scores. I still find three very lacking with not a lot to hang onto. Ostwind 4 is so much better!

Does someone knows if there is/was a physical CD "Rocca Verändert die Welt" (Alhambra 9051)??

My order was canceled both at Amazon and also at other retailers. Alhambra's web sais "out-of-print".

I am wondering if it was ever released physically.

I got the CD in June from Chris Soundtrack Corner. I also saw a copy last saturday when I was in Berlin at the local Saturn store. So it does exist.

Thanks a lot, Lokutus, but these are "not in stock, or pre-orders". I tried already and they don't have it.

I only get to Berlin occasionally as it's a 4 1/2 hour train ride from where I live. But I'll be happy to get it for you if they still have it when I go there the next time. I don't know when that will be. It usually happens when I want to see a film on an IMAX screen.
