STAR TREK---Alison Pill (THE NEWSROOM), Harry Treadway (PENNY DREADFUL) and Isa Briones (AMERICAN CRIME STORY: VERSACE) have joined the cast of the untitled Jean-Luc Picard tv series.
HALO---Pablo Schreiber will star as Master Chief in the Showtime series based on the video game.
MIKE MYERS---new untitled Mike Myers/Netflix comedy series underway in which he plays several characters.
MOUSE GUARD---Walt Disney Pictures cancelled the 20th Century Fox animated movie based on the comic book. The producers plan to offer it to other studios.
TIMECRAFTERS---Malcolm McDowell and Denise Richards star in this movie about seamen whose ship is struck by lightning and sent 300 years into the present must find a treasure map owned by kids in a small town.
BARKSINS---David Thewlis will play Monsieur Claude Trepagny in the National Geographic tv series based on the novel about outcasts, “who must navigate the brutal hardships, competing interests, and tangled loyalties at the crossroads of civilization—1600s New France—where the war to escape their past and re-make themselves is cast against the vast and unforgiving wilds of North America.”
FOX---the network cancelled THE GIFTED and REL.
TRIVIA---Shane Black's THE NICE GUYS starred Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling. Co-stars Margaret Qualley is the daughter of Andie McDowell, and Jack Kilmer is the son of Val Kilmer.
