Couldn't find a single thread about this. I saw the film yesterday, really nothing special. Zimmer's music was surprisingly mixed rather low, and it wasn't too important in the movie. But I heard some rather cool Berlin School electronic sequencer parts, which I enjoyed.

The CD is actually 71 minutes long, what kind of listening experience is it? Mostly electronic?

Pretty much electronic. One or two nice tracks, that's about it. I love the first two scores in this series, but this wasn't as melodic or engaging as the previous entries. Sounds very harsh, cold. A disappointment for me, and i love Zimmer in his big synth mode, but this was too hard edged.

Bad film, bad score. A long way away from the brilliant first one, and pretty decent second one.

This score has grown on me, but it's still an inferior listen to Angels & Demons and The Da Vinci Code. There are a few good ideas in there, but no major new themes. It doesn't add as much as A&D did, and it's a pretty jarring listen due to the 'flashback' scenes. I would give it a few listens and try to appreciate it in the context it was written.

It's a strange listining experience for me. I really like the second part of the album (tracks 11 to 17). The first part not so much.
