It is the number one best film of the decade according to critics and filmmakers!

Which critics and filmmakers would that be? Do you have a link?

It's a superb film -- and certainly one of the best that year -- but best of the DECADE is stretching it too far, IMO.

Thanks. Yeah, I just now noticed dragon mentioned it in one of his news threads. The list is a bit too heavy on US/English-language fare, IMO.

That list looks suspiciously like one of Marky worst/ best lists.

ThOSE critics are obviously Marky masquerading as as 250.

I find it peculiar - always - that these 'best film' lists feature either The Road Warrior or Mad Max Fury Road so forlornly and alone from amongst the profound body of fantasy and science fiction.

Makes me think it is simply trendy for people to include it on their regurgitations.

No Star Wars or Empire or The Matrix: Reloaded. No Rogue One or ST: The Motion Picture or Wrath Of Khan. No Lord Of The Rings. No Terminator, PREDATOR, or Edge Of Tomorrow. No Pacific Rim. No The Watchmen. No Unbreakable. No Incredibles.

I find it hard to fathom a palate of taste in sci-fi or fantasy that posts only a single, admittedly great, entry. I am suspicious.

Well, first of all several of those films aren't from this decade. Second, none of them have the visionary ambitions that FURY ROAD does.

My own list has far more sci fi in it, and FURY ROAD only comes in at about halfway.

I love FURY ROAD's visual storytelling, incredible action, character development and it even has heart which you don't see that often in an action film. It has great production value. It's my favorite film, and I wish others would appreciate it more like I do.

Isn't the fact that it tops the list in question a testament to how well it's liked? In fact, I don't know anyone who doesn't like it.
