THURSDAY, MAY 2

CRAWL---trailer released for the alligator horror movie.

STAR TREK---Quentin Tarantino commented on the status of his movie, “It’s a very big possibility. I haven’t been dealing with those guys for a while cause I’ve been making my movie. But we’ve talked about a story and a script. The script has been written and when I emerge my head like Punxsutawney Phil, post-ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD, we’ll pick up talking about it again.”

GAME OF THRONES---photos released from Episode 4 show the mass funeral after the Battle of Winterfell.

INDIANA JONES 5---Dan Fogelman (CARS, LIFE ITSELF) has replaced Jonathan Kasdan as the writer for the sequel and reportedly will write a new script. Kasdan's script was based on the Walbrzych Gold Train which carried a horde of Nazi gold and mysteriously disappeared near Walbryzych, Poland.

WILLOW---Ron Howard said a Disney+ tv series is being developed as a sequel to his 1988 movie, “There are some really serious discussions going on with Jon Kasdan, who was one of the writers of SOLO [: A STAR WARS STORY], who kept hounding me about Willow the whole time we were shooting and also hounding Kathy Kennedy.
We’re in discussions about developing a WILLOW television show for the Disney+. And I think it’d be a great way to go. In fact, George [Lucas] always talked about the possibility of a WILLOW series, and it’d be great and more intimate, and built around that character and some of the others. And Jon Kasdan has, I think, an inspired take on it and it could be really, really cool.”
Howard added that the tv series will focus on the adult Elora Danan and Warwick Davis is returning, “Warwick will be in it. Warwick is so cool and so good and he’s such a good actor that I really hope we get the chance to see the mature Willow in action.”

ALBEDO---Evangelline Lilly stars in this Vudu eight-part sci fi tv series set 150 years in the future where a female detective is sent to a space station to investigate a scientit's murder. When the space station is cut off from Earth, she is stranded on the space station with its crew of scientists who are all murder suspects.

MISANTHROPE---Shailene Woodley stars in this movie about a troubled female cop who is recruited by the FBI to help track a serial killer. Damian Szifron (WILD TALES) is the director.

GREEN BOOK---producer Jonathan King defended the movie being awarded the Academy Award for Best Picture, “The audience for that kind of movie is largely older and largely white. If you believe that older white people don’t need to be told to be less racist anymore because that’s an issue from the past, look around. Because they do. Occasionally you need to make a movie that is directed at older white people.
Are we going to get criticism because the director happens to be a white guy? Maybe. No director would represent the lives and lived experiences of those two main characters, because they were coming from completely different points of view.”

WARM BODIES---Lionsgate tv series underway based on the 2013 zombie movie.

THE IMPOSSIBLE FORTRESS---Netflix movie underway based on the young adult novel.

TRIVIA---legendary actor Christopher Lee appeared in some of the classic movie franchises including the Hammer Films Count Dracula and other horrors, James Bond, STAR WARS, THE LORD OF THE RINGS and THE HOBBIT. However, Lee turned down two roles which he later regretted. Lee was offered the role of Dr. Sam Loomis in HALLOWEEN which he felt was the worst mistake of his career. Lee also turned down the role of Dr. Rumack in AIRPLANE! which he said in his autobiography was a, "big mistake".

Christopher Lee turned down the Dr. Sam Loomis role in HALLOWEEN which was a high point in Donald Pleasance's long career.

Lee turned down the Dr. Rumack role in AIRPLANE!. Leslie Nielsen got the role which resurrected his career as a comedic actor.

Donald Pleasance was a knockout as Loomis. Took Halloween to a whole 'nother level.

So true. Can't imagine anyone else making that role their own like Pleasance did. He had an "uncomfortability" in his own skin that was matched only by Patrick McGoohan.

Green Book... being attacked?!?...

Silly nonsense. Great movie, great chronicle of the subjects.

Btw, I might be wary of posting photos etc. from Game Of Thrones... I can quickly identify material as spoiler'ish to swiftly skip over it but I'd rather not tempt fate. Waiting for the BluRay. smile

I agree with Warlok. You're usually good at adding spoiler warnings, dragon, but it must have slipped past you this time.

Like Star Trek isn't dark enough under Bad Robot. Let Tarantino do "Star Trek".

I usually depend on the original article to determine if a spoiler alert is necessary. The original article for the GAME OF THRONES photos didn't have a spoiler alert for the photos, so I didn't have one.
