This isn't Universal. If I understand correctly it's CBS-owned at this point.
Yavar

Yep. Most QM shows are CBS-owned except a few of the co-productions.

Fox owns 12 O’Clock High.
Warner owns THE FBI.

Don't expect a complete "The F.B.I." set because at least 50% of the episode scores exist.

Just to prove I'm not one of those FSMer's who quickly files their latest gotten booty in a dusty cupboard, never to be heard from again, before proclaiming NEXT!!...erm...I've been blasting through this old thing again this week.
I've played disc 1 TO DEATH already (Love the Jerry & Bruce, but really have to be in the mood for the Grusin), so I gave disc 2 more of a battering.
Reading back through this thread, I think poor Lalo has received a bit of an unfair pummelling.
I think, due to the nature of that particular beast (airplane hijack scenario) it's probably too front loaded with tension and suspense music for some listeners.
There isn't much more than that, other than some DIRTY HARRY-like chase music.
Although it's all still 100% terrific Schifrin tense/suspense*.
You can hear similar thriler licks in the likes of ROLLERCOASTER, AMITYVILLE HORROR, BRUBAKER and such, in many cues here.
His style is just so...LALO.
I will admit the title theme isn't one of Lalo's strongest tunes (esp' when compared to some of his iconic themes) and the synth is a bit cheesy.
But I appreciated it more this time just for what it was.
And it's much more enjoyable to me than his EARTH II score, on the FSM TV Omnibus set, which does have a great title tune, but too much dull/dreary synth scoring for me overall.
I've already stated I love the CANNON music and it still makes me smile and shows me a good time.
I know Parker also has a few detractors around here, but his stuff is still top notch 70s TV scoring to me*.
It's just a shame they gave us some lesser Shire over the 'dancing lady' Ron Grainer at the end of the disc wink
I actually really like the David Shire theme, it's my favourite of that small collection at the end of the disc.

*have you heard the music (ha) in TV/cop/murder drama shows these days!!

I don't know if it would be possible, and it's probably been discussed already, but I would love to see a release of music from The Fugitive by Pete Rugolo. The series is on TV every day and every episode has excellent music. Anyway, I am loving the La La Land QM releases!

Wasn't The Fugitive loaded with library music, Niall?
I'm sure Rugolo did some scores, but I recall the Quinn Martin music exec dude saying 2/3 of it was Jerry Goldsmith stock library cues (Gunsmoke, Twilight Zone).

Kev, I admire your resurrecting Queen Martin I, but am unable to locate your thread, or even cormorants within a thread, on QUEEN MARTIN III and her STREETS OF SAN FRANCISCO. I had a dream where you rabbitted about it once.

I would give birth to a rabbit myself, but I have been literally OVERWHELMED with CDs this year, as many as TWELVE since January, and with my switching back and forth between them I simply cannot settle down and play the same one six or seven times in a row - which is the only real way to germinate a rabbit worthy of the monarchs.

Anyway, my bunnies on this first set are preserved here in formaldehyde, as are those on QUEEN MARTIN II's INVADERS, but the Patrick Williams set deserves more.

Silva Screen released one a few years back. (Rugolo's music library was recorded in London for cheapness reasons).

"as many as TWELVE since January"
-----------------------
And 10 of them are by that Macaroni dude.
You've changed, Graham.
