Wow, thanks Dragon! I always thought of myself as a trekkie, but I was unaware of plans for a spinoff with Robert Lansing! Now that shows potential! I always enjoyed his acting style. A spinoff show like that would definitely been a must-watch for me. At least they could perhaps explain how we have Gary Seven to thank for Isis!

It actually wasn't meant to be a Trek spin-off, but its own thing. It was a half hour pilot script first with Gary Seven and Roberta Hornblower (Roddenberry's heroes getting the better of him here). When it failed to get network interest, they expanded it and made it into a Trek episode with the hopes of it working as a backdoor pilot. Obviously, that didn't win anyone over either.
