Sounds like McCreary has given much freedom of expression to his players. Seems to me some of the individual performances help raise this soundtrack to a higher level than I have heard from this composer before.

Agreed. Plus the vocals on When I am Dead are deeply moving. I suggest those of you surprised by this go back and seriously listen to his God of War score. It has some powerful emotion behind it as well.
I decided to pick this up with the LLL 25% off sale.
Me too. Aside from his contributions to the Electric Dreams anthology, this is my first McCreary soundtrack. Only played it once so far, but I kinda like it.
I just noticed today...on the spine of my autographed issue the title is mispelled! It reads "proffesor" ! thank you quality control.. Just kidding: I always marveled at the cavalier attitude of so many English-speaking people towards their own spelling. Take my my mother-in-law: a smart and educated lady.....but every email is a riot.
It has been FOREVER ...... I mean FOREVER....... since I saw a movie and went and immediately bought the score afterwards. But I saw this and it was an insta-buy. Beautiful music!
