Sounds like McCreary has given much freedom of expression to his players. Seems to me some of the individual performances help raise this soundtrack to a higher level than I have heard from this composer before.

Agreed. Plus the vocals on When I am Dead are deeply moving. I suggest those of you surprised by this go back and seriously listen to his God of War score. It has some powerful emotion behind it as well.

Me too. Aside from his contributions to the Electric Dreams anthology, this is my first McCreary soundtrack. Only played it once so far, but I kinda like it.
