A couple of weeks ago Space X blew up an unmanned crew capsule while testing the rockets on the abort system, now they can't even inflate a freaking parachute!
Crew Dragon Parachutes Failed in Recent Test:
A SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft descends under its parachutes at the end of the Demo-1 test flight in March. A test of the parachutes for that spacecraft in April failed when the parachutes didn't open fully.
Sorry, I know it's off-topic but I just so happened to watch Capricorn One on Blu-ray last night.
God, I love that film! The "Moon Landing Was A Hoax" conspiracies spawned the idea for the movie. Interesting how prophetic it was as far as the sub-contracted life-support unit was sub-par and would've failed and how in real-life the warnings from the sub contractor about the O-rings and cold-temperature launchings went unheeded causing the Challenger disaster. It's scary how often missed latent defects cause disasters.
