Jan Hammer?? Can't say I agree. He never used an orchestra in his scores.

Except, of course, his first film score, done when he was 19:

Maybe there's another one or two, but I've not been through his work.

I have been through most of his work. Not any orchestral scores, except the one you linked to.

Oh, he used some orchestra on the "Tucker's Witch" series, too. Forgot about that.

EDIT:
No, mixed up composers there. I was thinking of Fiedel.

Jan Hammer worked on Tucker's Witch? Or are you talking bout Fiedel now?

Watching TRUE LIES for the first time in decades & enjoying the score again. LK said, way back when, even the lighter jazzy spy cues still "weigh a ton".
Time changes everything....its a fun action score, RIP Shirley Walker, her unmistakable fingerprints are all over this & it's wonderful to know she had a nice working relationship with Fiedel.Compared to what this would sound like now....it's a classic.

Terminator 2 has been a constant listen for 25+ years now.
Although I do still prefer the Terminator Theme from the first movie.

Four movies now have tried recapturing the magic of 1 and 2 but I think it's pretty clear that without Fiedel, they're missing one of the most vital players in the game.

I have only one by him, that was packaged with a score by a composer who I really love.
