I prefer Steady As A Beating Drum & Just Around The River Bend for starters. I'm the complete opposite. I'm totally obsessed with Menken -- the best thing in the whole Disney musical history. That has absolutely the greatest score highlights he's ever written IMO, but it doesn't have the flow and consistency of his work (both score and songs) on Pocahontas. You really can't judge it based on the pop song. Though I wouldn't say the best thing in Disney musical history. I really enjoy that too. Menken is one of my all time favorite composers. Oh, I also love his MEASURE OF A MAN song from ROCKY V! I haven't seen LITTLE SHOP in years, but I like the album. Menken is also one of my alltime favourite composers.
