I will miss it for sure. I was a big fan of the show.
That said, I thought the finale was a little ....... meh. Unspecial? (considering the hype that led up to it)
SPOILERS
Everything people predicted happened without much fanfare. Penny is pregnant. Elevator fixed. Sheldon wins Nobel. I didn't laugh or cry.
Now last week, with Leonard and his mother............ I cried like a baby. I know they didn't want to get too serious and melodramatic, but I wish the scene at the end would have given his mother more dialogue.
No, not really, I'm afraid. I've occasionally tuned in to have something in the background while I'm having my dinner or something, but more often than not, I'll switch channels. It's not a show I particularly care for. Didn't know that it was ending, but I daresay it's had a good run!

Yes, maybe a little more should have been said, but I was just thankful they didn't wreck it with a stinger, with his mother crushing his feelings again as the scene ended.
I will be missing it but that finale episode have not yet aired here in Sweden. When it comes to comedy series I find this so funny that I would put it on second place over the most funniest shows I have seen. Well, for me personally nothing could beat Monk as the funniest show ever but when The Big Bang Theory had it`s best moments it was almost as good as Monk. And by the way third funniest show in my mind was Spin City. Never cared for the show most people say is the funniest one: Friends.
I've warched regularly since the 2nd or 3rd season., and enjoyed it immensely. It was a reliably funny. I have liked the way the female characters were introduced and how everybody grew and changed just a little bit for it. I thought that was all nucely done.
But, the writing for the last seaon and a half has been just a teensy bit off, and I think i've had my fill of reruns on TBS. You know this ran a year longer than M*A*S*H?
It sustained a high level of quality for many seasons, but I felt that it was marking time for the last season or two, relying on a formula to get the laughs, and maybe it had earned it. But it wrapped up nicely and I’ve got no complaints about either it coming to an end or how they achieved it.
