Okay, a bit of shameful self-promotion, but I co-host a podcast that I hope some of you might find interesting. It's called 'Movie Oubliette', and in each episode we do a deep dive on a sci-fi, horror or fantasy film that we think has tended to be overlooked or forgotten over the years. At least in comparison with the ones that often get remade or talked about. (Sometimes we do things just for the hell of it, though!) My co-host and I have a passion for scores, of course, so we often talk about that aspect in detail. We also compose little bumpers for the show in the style of the film's original score, just for kicks. I particularly enjoyed imitating Goldsmith's score for 'The Vanishing'! We sometimes have great guests too. So far, we've had David Bruckner (director of 'The Ritual') discussing 'Cemetery Man', Catherine Mary Stewart picked 'Melancholia' and at Christmas we had Voyager's Manu Intiraymi talking about 'Space Station 76'. Anyway, I'd love it if you guys would check it out and let me know what you think. Maybe suggest films we could cover? iTunes: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/movie-oubliette/id1397232326?mt=2&app=itunes Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/6hc0W7N71rofB7jETyPicX?nd=1 P.S. If you enjoy podcasts, I'd definitely recommend Yavar's Goldsmith Odyssey. I recently started on that and am loving it!
