Wow, nice. I'm on board with this. It's good to explore what else is out there, lest he become a Spielberg, surrounded by yes men with zero need for innovation.

I'm not sure there is ANY composer who could get me emotionally invested in a Chris Nolan film.
Not even Jay Dubya.

Completely underwhelmed by Goransson so far. Maybe this one will make the difference.

Good.

So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen adu!

Now if only some of his MV/RC clones would be shuffled out and other composers put in on other projects.

Would not mind never seeing the Junk, Djawadi or Balfe involved in any major project for quite some time.

I don't want to swear, but F"#)(!!!¤££@K!

I've not really liked anything Göransson has done, and find him severely overrated (fellow Scandinavian or not). And on top of that, we're losing another Nolan/Zimmer collaboration, which is where Zimmer has been the most inspired in the last decade.

Disappointment of the year for me, in terms of score assignments.

Oh man, here comes my chance to re-word a quote by Thor ever so slightly from "The Mandalorian" thread:
https://www.filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?threadID=132210&forumID=1&archive=0

"Good for him, but I've not been impressed with any of his work so far. But I know he has a big following, and at the very least I can be proud of a fellow Scandinavian landing a CHRIS NOLAN gig. As for how it will turn out, time will tell. "

Meh. STAR WARS stuff, he can take, for all I care. But the Zimmer/Nolan collaboration is far more 'sacred' to screw up. Not that it's Göransson's fault, necessarily. Someone (some idiot, no doubt) must have lobbied for him. And yes, that includes Chris himself, if that's the case.

So, no proudness and letting time tell just 'cause you don't like the assignment?

Sounds like you need a bite of that B.S. burner some members like to serve others; the deluxe You Haven't Even Heard It or Seen the Movie Yet! burger.

It tastes like garbage though.

That’s kind of a bummer Zimmer is out. I thought it was like a Spielberg/Williams kind of deal. I wonder what happened and if it’s a one movie type thing or if they are just “seeing other people” now. If it’s an end of an era, it was a great one for the most part in my opinion.

Good for Goransson though! I bet he’s stoked!
