THURSDAY, MAY 23 TERMINATOR: DARK FATE---trailer released for the sequel. Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCyEX6u-Yhs STAR TREK: PICARD---trailer released for the new tv series. Link: https://mashable.com/video/star-trek-picard-cbs-teaser/ Also, STAR TREK: PICARD---an analysis of the new Starfleet uniforms was posted based on photos taken on the film set. STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER---sources claim the sequel will end the lengthy conflict between the Jedi and the Sith and deepen the connection between Kylo Ren and Rey. Also, Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy said the successful Marvel Cinematic Universe formula won't work for Lucasfilm's STAR WARS franchise, " think that Disney is very respectful of what this is, and right from the beginning we talked about the fragility of this form of storytelling. Because it’s something that means so much to fans that you can’t turn this into some kind of factory approach. You can’t even do what Marvel does, necessarily, where you pick characters and build new franchises around those characters. This needs to evolve differently. Evil needs to feel and look very real. And what that means today may not be as black-and-white as it might have been in 1977, coming off a kind of World War II sensibility. There’s a loss of innocence, a sense of innocence that existed in the 70s that I don’t think to any extent exists today. I think that has to permeate the storytelling and the reaction to the stories and how they’re set up. It has to feel differently because we’re different." GAME OF THRONES---HBO head Casey Bloys commented on the fan criticism of the final season which he said was, "roughly split with some people loving it and some people disliking it. That’s about what you’d expect...But you’re never going to make everybody happy, nor should that be the goal.” He added, "The guys have had a very, very specific plan in their head for a long time. This was not something that was kind of slapdash, where at the end of last season we said, ‘Eh, we only feel like doing six.’ They were very, very deliberate. This was well thought out." BIOS---Skeet Ulrich (SCREAM) and Laura Harrier (SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING) will co-star with Tom Hanks in the sci fi movie about the last man on Earth who builds a robot to take care of his pet dog. STOWAWAY---Daniel Dae Kim (HAWAII FIVE-O) will co-star with Toni Collette and Anna Kendrick in the sci fi movie. TITANOBOA---untitled sci fi movie underway about the prehistoric Titanoboa snake which was 42' long and weighed 2,500 pounds. Tony Giglio (DOOM: ANNIHILATION) is the writer. TIGER WOODS--untitled miniseries underway about the golf star's sex scandal, marital problems and career problems. TRIVIA---in THE TWILIGHT ZONE episode "Five Characters in Search of an Exit", the young girl who picks up the soldier doll was played by Mona Houghton, the daughter of the show's producer, Buck Houghton. THE TWILIGHT ZONE episode "Five Characters in Search of an Exit" starred William Windom and Susan Harrison. Mona Houghton, daughter of the show's producer, Buck Houghton, played the girl who picked up the soldier doll.

Why does the morphing look on the new Terminator villain look more fake than the T2 villain from 1992?
That does just look like more pursuit cat n mouse as per t2 and t3, but just different terminators.

The look is entirely predictable and I'm sure the score will fit it in an entirely predictable way.

That 'Terminator' trailer is very underwhelming, and that's me being friendly !!!

I hate these sequels that cancel out earlier films. Terminator 3 was fine, actually it was a lot of fun and put a really nice cap on the original trilogy. Just going by the teaser, this doesn't seem to add anything new. Cameron isn't directing it, so it's just another sequel by someone else as far as I'm concerned. I don't wish for any film to die a Box Office Death, but this one...just because of the hubris involved, I hope it fails miserably. And all of those "this erases all of the shitty non-Cameron films" comments will be so much embarrassing dead air.

RE: Terminator- Looks like hot garbage. Two actors to old to be in an action film, a what lesbian Terminator? Sh*tty CGI, stupid slow creepy song in trailer. Yeah, think I'll stay home instead and pop in Terminator 3! RE: Kathleen Kennedy- What the hell is she babbling about? Just sounds like incoherent nonsense. RE: Pichard- So some second unite outdoor shooting on a vineyard with a body double is supposed to get me excited about Star Trek? A lesbian Terminator?! Count me in!
