This song was burned into my brain after my first visit to Disney World years back and it always lurks inside waiting to rise up over the years, however inappropriate. My wife and eldest daughter just got back again....but I made sure they videoed the attraction once again for me and my affliction. RM
I never understood the hatred some have for this earwhig. Having worked for the mouse for a number of years and hearing complaints often, I just assumed it was a feigned annoyance as a humorous, if overused, conversation-starter.
When the joke appeared in The Lion King ("No! Anything but that!") I found that there are actually quite a number of people who genuinely despise the song, and also apparently the notion of a world where youth from every nation live together in harmony, albeit robotically singing in unison with blank stares...
