Thor is so obedient. I demand a list and he complies ( not that I will read it).

I think he might be German, not Norweigan.

I demand you produce a list of all titles- in chronological order!

Here you go. List is by date seen (most recent first):

And here are the 167 2018 films, in ranked order:

Cool to see your 2018 list, Thor - although painful to see my respective bests of '17 and '18 - Phantom Thread and Roma - in the bottom half of your first fifty!

I just recently caught up with Mandy - I give it points for staying true to its unique hazy atmosphere but found it difficult to "get into." I guess I prefer the more conventional contrast between "normal" and "weird."

First Reformed was a fascinating return to form for Schrader, but it came off as too much a mishmash of blatant Bergman, undisguised Dreyer influence, and self-poaching (Travis Bickle as a priest.)

Of the titles that I am unfamiliar with, Let the Corpses Tan is certainly the most intriguing title! I'll have to find out what that one is about!

It's a fantastic film! Like a deformed cross between Terry Gilliam, Jean-Pierre Melville and Mario Bava. But it's very stylized, so if you didn't care for MANDY, it's not certain that you'll like this. I've been trying to find their previous film L'ETRANGE COLEUR DES LARMES DE TON CORPS (2013), since my colleages have raved about it, but so far unsuccessfully.

PHANTOM THREAD is a fine film (26th place), although I was not as thrilled as others. I've always had it that way with PSA (for example, I loved THE MASTER and absolutely hated INHERENT VICE). ROMA is also a pretty good film (48th place), and has many qualities going for it, but ultimately found it rather pretentious and not up to the bar of Cuaron's usual excellence.

Both of these guys loved the dreadful MASTER.
So, why aren't they married?
