I might skip the first highlight on a set of season four scoring.
There's something about trekking across a hot baron landscape that can bring out interesting scoring in composers. Jerrold Immel did it in an episode of "Gunsmoke", for example, too.
Mannix asks Loretta Swit's character if she can drive the jeep and she replies she can, that she's driven them across the battlefields. Obviously a nod to "M*A*S*H", but it strikes me that this could have been a more involving episode had it been her character from the show instead of a one-time nobody.

There’s the 1997 episode of Diagnosis: Murder, “Hard-Boiled Murder”, in which Mike Connors guest starred as Joe Mannix. The show attempts to tie up the loose ends of a S7 Mannix episode, “Little Girl Lost.” Pernell Roberts, Julie Adams, and Beverly Garland, who appeared in the earlier story, reprise their roles in the Diagnosis: Murder episode.
