So, correct me if I am wrong... but the only advantage with this set for those who own the previous versions is the new remaster of Batman? You get the same master with Batman Returns and the same liner notes? Just wondering if it was worth another purchase.

That's correct.

If you're a Batman or Elfman completist, you must get this. The set's new design is stunning and the re-master of Batman 1989 score sounds just amazing.

I don't care for the track listing inside the booklet and not on the rear insert. Also, the inserts are cut ever-so-slightly too large - and as a result are warped/wavey. A bad look, IMO.

I decided to pass on this for the time being. Something tells me there may be a better deal down the road. In the meantime, I'll continue to enjoy the two separate releases.

Perhaps if there'd been a remastering of both albums plus new liner notes I would've double-dipped...

There was no need to remaster Returns again. This new set's purpose was to "fix" all the nightmares that plagued the first LLL Batman. Did they fix them all? I can't remember!

If that's the case then it helps to illustrate the problem with this set in the first place: there was no need to include Batman Returns. Might explain why there are copies still sitting around.

Well, the set was sold out, so this was giving people a chance to get 'em both at once. Sucks to buy it twice to replace the compromised first version, but these reissues will be the norm sooner rather than later.
