Watched this again last night. Seemed to be a bunch of score. Any chance of a release? Has this been discussed previously? He's probably not most folks cup of tea around here, but might be wrong about that. Graham This is one score I have been hoping for it to come out for many years.

Only track "Bomber Bash"from Streets of Fire released. In 2CD collection "Music by Ry Cooder"on Warner. Blue City, Johnny Handsome, Trespass; Alamo Bay/ The border (@-fer CD on Raven records); am certain missing one or more. To me an exceptional artist, have almost all his records.

I love his album Jazz, and that he played on Captain Beefheart's first album Safe As Milk, speaking of not being to everyone's cup of tea--here or anywhere. Me, I've got Beefheart ears. P.S. Years after Safe As Milk Cliff Martinez played drums with Beefheart.

I bought the set mainly for 'Southern Comfort', music i had been longing for since 1981 !!!! Same here! It's nice to hear of another person clamoring for music from Southern Comfort. I know it's an extremely short score, but I'd love to see a complete release some day. And including the Cajun songs from the end of the film would be icing on the cake.

Have there been any Ry Cooder expanded releases? None springs to mind. I think it's a case of most film music fans (and people running labels) being more interested in orchestral film music. A release of Streets of Fire -- containing both the Cooder score and the rejected James Horner score -- would make for a very interesting set, with potential crossover appeal.

I remember thinking his music from Last Man Standing was really interesting. But it's been a while since I've seen the film.
