One of the "few" remaing grails... this and THE INVISIBLE at the top of the list.

At least thanks to Intrada IRON WILL can be crossed off that list smile

Finishing SEASON 1:

Yes, I'm still sticking to the "SEASON 1" thing even if a show only had one season.

"Miracles"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0VknQuIesk

Highlights:
  • 3:04 in.
  • 5:54 in.
  • 7:36 in.
  • 15:37 in.
  • 19:37 in.
  • 23:50 in.
  • 26:35 in.
  • 27:52 in.
  • 29:42 in.
  • 30:58 in.
  • 34:56 in.
  • 39:51/43:30 in.

    "The Chain"
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1D4aQ77hWdw

    Highlights:
  • 0:50 in.
  • 9:30 in.
  • 1105 in.
  • 12:19 in.
  • 14:42 in.
  • 25:00 in.
  • 27:32 in.
  • 29:55 in. Goes on, with some brief lulls, for ten minutes.
  • 43:31 in.

"I pray you never have to make the choices I have."

    "The Trial" (final episode)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLFYFYHmIQI

    Highlights:
  • 0:09 in.
  • 2:21 in.
  • 30:07 in.
  • 39:37 in.
  • 42:53 in.

The final episode is a clip-show episode. I can't tell how much new scoring there is, 'cause it may simply be the scoring that was in the episodes the clips are from.

Just skimming the show for score, I have to say this looks like a good show and worth watching. It's a shame this is as far as it got.

I know I’ve been one of the people asking about this. And I’m also thinking Justin may have been referring to me because I’ve chimed in one or two times. But I’d love to see this score released. It had some incredibly beautiful and moving music.

I realized I forgot to make my personal final call on where I'd place the scoring of the series.

Considering the score overall, while almost all of it is indeed amongst the finest television scoring ever, it just falls short (by a really tiny margin, mind you) it taking that pedestal because of some rare meandering cues and some synth stuff -- both rare, but enough.

Great stuff. If I were a betting man, I'd bet that Kiner used pieces from his work on the show, on a demo to get "Star Wars: Rebels".

And while I know it might be blasphemy to some people here, even though there are fans of Kloser/Wanker on the Emmerich films, I have to say I want Kiner to be scoring them from this point onward.

Finding an excuse to bump the thread to get the scoring some more attention...

The one thing I didn't like was the theme music; cheesy synth piece and out-of-place. I wonder if an orchestral piece was passed on.

It was very "X-Files" in style which, well of course it was given when it aired.

Arnold really gave that theme the most beautiful of workouts in his score though. Really built on that foundation and made it soar.

Thank you so much for doing these!! I've been championing this for the last 22 years and I thought I was the only one who saw this and really wanted a score release. This would pair well with Arnold's other unreleased TV score, "UC: Undercover"

    Initially I said:

"Considering the score overall, while almost all of it is indeed amongst the finest television scoring ever, it just falls short (by a really tiny margin, mind you) it taking that pedestal because of some rare meandering cues and some synth stuff -- both rare, but enough."

After some re-consideration, I had decided I was wrong. "The Visitor" is some of the fine modern television scoring ever.

My reasoning for the reconsideration is so obvious, I don't know why it didn't occur to me before: I can't think of any fine television scoring, of yesteryear or modern, that over all didn't have some let downs.

(also, this has worked in a non-pointless bump!)
