How bout Chasing the Moon? Gary Lionelli. Frequently does PBS and documentaries. It’s quite good in parts. But for the launch of Apollo 11, I always hear in my head James Horner’s “ All Systems Go - The Launch”. That’s my gold standard.

OnyaBirri, A weird coincidence is that last April my wife and I went to New York City, and we went to The Jazz Record Center. While I was thumbing through their excellent collection my wife was taking pics of various album covers, many falling into the oddity category. She just got around to putting together an album from our NYC trip--15 months later--and she included 3 album cover photos from that visit; one was Impressions of Outer Space by Larry Elgart. The cover falls right into your collection on this thread.

A recent one that hasn't been mentioned yet, but which I liked quite well, was James Everingham's score for the National Geographic Channel documentary Apollo: Missions to the Moon (the documentary itself is worth watching too).

And Jay Chattaway's score for Space Age (previously mentioned via a YouTube post) is one of my favorites (as is the very different In the Shadow of the Moon score by Philip Sheppard).
