I just stumbled across a cd by James Jordan and the Westminster Williamson Voices called Hole in the Sky, apparently an album of beautiful choral music. There is a track composed by Barry called "As I Walk the Silent Earth," which may be a choral version of "The Day the Earth Fell Silent" from The Beyondness of Things. I say that because Allmusic's site lists the piece that way. I sampled the track on Amazon and it sounds very much in the style of Barry's more tender choral works from The Last Valley. I've ordered the cd. The rest of the program sounds promising, as well. Have any of you heard this?

All of the listings I can see indicate that the composer is Thomas LaVoy:

Ah, well, I saw Barry's name associated with that track from a couple of sources (allthemusic list as composer John Barry/Thomas LaVoy) and hbdirect.com lists Barry. But as Lukas points out, LaVoy is the composer.

You had me excited for a moment, but yes you're both right, there's no way that's anything to do with John Barry. Still, it's a nice piece.
